Steadily garnering attention within the Film and TV industry, Louize, a multi-award winner and nominee (Queen Palm Film Festival 2018, Kerry Film Festival 2018, Bolton Film Festival 2018), is swiftly stepping out fronting the new wave of young female composers, and is rapidly becoming known for her gritty, unique, high impact and cinematic scores. She specialises in synth, electronic and ambient music, while harnessing orchestral elements producing exceptional quality hybrid scores and soundtracks.
She has collaborated with established giants in the film and TV industry in LA and London, most recently assisting Martin Phipps (Black Mirror, Peaky Blinders, War & Peace) in Black Earth Rising, a highly critically acclaimed 6 part BBC drama series. Her theme and background music can be heard on 6 part crime docu-drama series Assassins and also notable, is her on work the recent multi-award winning film Rabbit Punch featuring her edgy, urban and cinematic sonic signature.
She composes, orchestrates, arranges and produces all of her own scores. She also writes lyrics, toplines and her own vocals appear on all relevant tracks and scores.
Growing up in Ireland, Louize began her career in the music world as an indie and popular music songwriter. She is the bass player in renowned punk rock band The Blizzards who are set to release their third album "The Last Great Algorithm" in March 2019.
Recently spending several months working alongside Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Spiderman 2 & 3, The Rum Diaries) in Los Angeles, he refers to her in the industry as "the female Trent Reznor".
Over the years, she has written and performed, both as an original artist and a session musician with countless nationally and internationally renowned acts, including Hozier, Billy Ocean. A quintessentially emotive vocalist, often compared to Sinead O'Connor, she continues to write and record original compositions, both solo and collaboratively. Along with her hardworking, affable and professional reputation, her distinct compositional style has lead to collaborations with film and TV directors unearthing a deep passion for film music and a thrill for scoring to picture utilising her unique, edgy industrial and ambient style and approach.
